WORSHIP

The Beemerville Presbyterian Church Sunday Worship Service starts at 9am. Members of the Congregation greet you and hand out bulletins. The Organist plays an introductory hymn while the congregation greets each other and the new week in the house of the Lord. Pastor Barry Young’s Minister’s Minute always has an uplifting story and often a cutesy joke. Announcements keep all the congregants informed of what’s going on in the our church, upcoming events, and opportunities to donate to others, in faith, word or deed. Children of all ages are welcome to enjoy the Children’s mini Sermon given during the service. The Scripture of the week is read by a member of the congregation. The Pastor centers his informative and thought provoking sermon around the scripture reading. Prayers are asked for to help those in need and prayers of joy when appropriate. Traditional favorite hymns are interspersed with newer hymns throughout the Service. Holy Communion is held on the first Sunday of every month. A Fellowship Hour is held immediately after Church, with coffee, tea, juice and goodies, contributing to the family and friendly atmosphere. Many think that the happy, uplifting interactive service is less churchy and more homey and yes that is us, YOUR hometown church, full of neighbors and friends. Everyone is welcome to come and share in the joy of Beemerville Presbyterian Church as we gather in God’s name.
The Beemerville Presbyterian Church will hold its traditional Easter Sunrise Service on ( date and time TBD *changes every year) in the Cemetery Field. This is a rain or shine occasion, bring your flashlight? Located behind the Beemerville Cemetery, the Easter Sunrise service has been a beautiful experience for all Christians for the last 20 years. The artistic symbolic Cross is made from the beams of a nearby barn, covered in a preservative. The “Crown of Thorns” hanging on the cross is local barbed wire. After the Easter Sunrise Service, all are invited to the Beemerville Church Fellowship Hall for light refreshments. The Easter Service will be at 9am. at the Beemerville Church Sanctuary. All are welcome, you do not need to be a member of the Church to attend.

Our Sanctuary, with it's original Louis Larsen altar painting and beautiful antique stained glass windows, is breathtaking and inspiring. Lit only with the candles distributed to the congregation, the love of God for his Son is soul warming. Everyone is welcome to attend. Attending this service truly gives you peace and joy of the Christmas Season.
